5.3 Essentials when waiting for funding decision

The following checklist includes essential information that is helpful when designing a youth exchange project. You can also find some useful tips and hints on what is important during this phase.
A funding decision may take up to 3 months. The National Agency will check how your project meets formal criteria and then evaluate its quality.
Depending on the country, projects are assessed by an employee at the National Agency and/or external evaluators.
Estimate the total budget of your project and calculate how much of Erasmus+ co-funding you may expect to receive.
Think about the co-funding required from the partners and how you will raise the money needed in each country.
Have enough of co-funding to complete the project. Last 20% of the grant will be transferred after approval of the final report.
If your project wasn’t up to the quality requirements, start from improving it. Ask your National Agency for feedback.
Make a copy of the Checklist and use it to follow the necessary requirements for a youth exchange project design.
